In the framework of continuous aggressions against the Palestinian people in all its components, Israeli occupying forces have pursued their attacks against our colleagues working in mail distribution in localities and areas close to Israeli colonies, the apartheid wall and area H2 in Hebron under full Israeli military control.
On Wednesday 29/07/2015, between 13:00 and 14:00, Israeli soldiers stopped, searched and impeded the work of postal worker Mohammed Ja’bari, while he was distributing mail in the old city of Hebron. Ja’bari works for the Hebron post office (PalPost) and his round was interrupted, constituting not only a violation of his right to freedom of movement, but leading also to depriving Palestinian employees in the area from receiving postal services. Similar incidents of harassment and attacks by the Israeli army against postal employees in occupied Palestine have repeatedly taken place; this is why we are calling upon trade unions worldwide and human rights activists to help us in stopping these violations.
